ScanCHQ follows a standard procedure of using log files. When you visit our site or register, we collect information including Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, and referring pages.
Purpose: This data is used for security (including prevention of duplicate registrations), analyzing usage trends, and ensuring the stability of our live streams. All log data is stored securely in access-restricted server logs.
- Personal Information: We collect names and email addresses solely for account management and Pre-launch Status verification.
- Subscription & Payment Data: Effective July 1, 2026, financial transactions for the Pre-launch Rate will be processed via secure, third-party payment providers. ScanCHQ does not store or see your full credit card details.
- Audio Stream Privacy: While we monitor overall server traffic, we do not log or track the specific audio segments an individual user listens to. Your monitoring habits remain private.
To support the service, we may use third-party vendors including Google (AdSense). These vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- Opt-Out: You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
- Scope: This policy applies only to ScanCHQ. We recommend consulting the privacy policies of any third-party ad servers for more detailed information.

ScanCHQ does not knowingly collect Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided this information, please contact us immediately at legal@scanchq.com for removal.
- No-Sell Guarantee: We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
- Security: We use industry-standard technical safeguards to protect your data stored on our servers.
Access to the ScanCHQ dashboard is free through June 30, 2026. On July 1, 2026, the service transitions to a subscription model. Users who register during the early access period lock in a Pre-launch Rate of $36/year for the life of their active account, equal to $3/month. A Monthly plan is available for $5/month.
The regular membership subscription rate will start on September 1, 2026. The Annual plan will be $60/year, equal to $5/month, and the Monthly plan will be set at $8/month. Pricing in the regular membership tiers are subject to change without notice.
The use of any robot, spider, scraper, or automated means to access the Service for the purpose of training machine learning or AI models, voice-to-text training, or automated incident logging is strictly prohibited without express written consent.
This Service is provided for situational awareness and documentation only. Users agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to "self-deploy" to active emergency scenes if you are not authorized by that jursidiction to do so.
- Interfere with, track, or harass emergency services personnel.
- Use the information gathered to facilitate any illegal activity.
Any attempt to interfere with first responders will result in an immediate permanent ban and potential reporting to local law enforcement.
Users are prohibited from recording, archiving, or capturing audio from this Service for redistribution on social media platforms (including TikTok, YouTube, Discord, and Facebook) or any other public platform. Your subscription is licensed for personal use only.
Users are responsible for complying with New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law Section 397 regarding the use of radio receiving sets in motor vehicles. While ScanCHQ is web-based, the legal responsibility for mobile use rests entirely with the user.

- RF Signal Nature: Due to the nature of radio frequency (RF) transmissions, audio may not always be crystal clear. Signals are subject to environmental interference, atmospheric conditions, and technical latency.
- Interpretation: Radio transmissions are often incomplete or out of context. ScanCHQ is not responsible for any actions taken or opinions formed based on a user's interpretation of garbled or incomplete audio.
- Liability: You agree to hold ScanCHQ harmless from any claims or damages arising from the use or interpretation of this data.
